Our History Seacon Group
History and Founder
Mr. Vichai Sawsosthikul founded SEACON Co., Ltd. (formerly Southeast Asia Construction Co., Ltd.) on March 9, 1961, for construction business. He later assigned his son, Mr. Kobchai Sawsosthikul, a civil engineering graduate, to manage and expand the company into large-scale construction projects.
Business Expansion
The Seacon network developed significant past projects like Siam Square, Siam Inter-Continental Hotel, and the Siam, Scala, and Lido cinemas, before developing the Seacon Square shopping center business and expanding into other diverse ventures such as Nanyang footwear, Tachada MSG, Mali Brand Milk, and Seacon Home.
Succession to Heirs
Currently, Seacon Group is managed by the 2nd and 3rd generation heirs who drive the business’s continuous growth. Mr. Tatiya Sawsosthikul is the Managing Director of Seacon Development PLC., and Mr. Karoon Sawsosthikul (Kong Karoon) is a 3rd generation heir with a role in the business circle.
